This made me laugh. I was trying to find quotes from Obama about the cause of the recession and came across this gem:

It’s quite unsettling to talk to members of Barack Obama’s transition teams these days, especially those who are helping with the economics portfolio. Without going into details, the sense I get from them is that they are very worried that the economy will get a lot worse before it gets better. Not just worse… a lot worse. As in — double digit unemployment without the wiggle factors. Huge declines in aggregate demand. Significant, persistent deficits. That’s one reason why the Obama administration seems to be open to listening to every economist with an idea and is stocking the staff with the leading lights of the field….
The part about the “persistent deficits” and “listening to every economist” was chuckleworthy too.

What’s that you ask? It’s a cultural-Marxist term for St. Patrick’s Day. Which was so last week, but you can never be too early preparing for next year, and I have Andrew Breitbart to thank for educating me about this.
Andrew appeared on Hannity last night to talk about the politically-correct language creeping through the Obama Administration’s lexicons.
Here’s the link to the video. (I’m having difficulty embedding it)
Here’s a link to the transcript.
P.S. Happy Nowruz!

In a N.Y.T. story about tent cities in Fresno, we learn:
The problem in Fresno is different in that it is both chronic and largely outside the national limelight. Homelessness here has long been fed by the ups and downs in seasonal and subsistence jobs in agriculture, but now the recession has cast a wider net and drawn in hundreds of the newly homeless — from hitchhikers to truck drivers to electricians.
Just wondering.
As an aside, I occasionally work in the public schools, and recently a 4th grade class was reading A Wrinkle in Time, where there is discussion about a “hobo”. Some of the children didn’t know what it meant, so I asked them to look it up as we briefly discussed it in relation to the book.
A little cultural-Marxist in the class promptly informed me that one could not use the word “hobo”; the correct word is an “unfortunate person”.
Got it?
UPDATE:
R.B.O. asks: When do we see Obamaville shanty towns? The real questions are ‘how many?’ and for ‘how long?’
