Gibbsy: ‘Every time I’ve pulled the president aside to have a conversation we’ve had that conversation, so I assume he would do the same with Chavez’

How right you are, Dude!  Both you and Hugo are da bomb and there’s not a whit of difference between the two of you.

Seriously – how low can Gibby’s I.Q. go to make an idiotic statement like that?  I realize that moral equivalency is the provenance of liberalism, but surely Gibbs must realize that the fact that he works for Obama makes his situation a teensy weensy bit different.

And is it too rightwing extremist-y of me to mention that that Barack’s warm greeting, familiar handshake, and beaming smile is just a bit out of place when meeting with freaking Hugo Chavez (no matter whether that meeting was serendipitous or pre-arranged )?

Oh well,  I suppose we should be reassured that he’s not bowing to Hugo as if he were a Saudi Prince.

Update:

Right wing extremist Allapundit remarks:

Check out that thousand-watt grin. Funding FARC, imprisoning dissidents, staging wargames with Russia, and of course consolidating dictatorial power — none of it’s enough to ruin a photo op for The One.
